daughter's pain T_T
frustration has brought me insane
failing my parent's expectation once again
I hate to feel this way. Every time I try to sleep, this depression to graduate seems to hard for me to carry on. If I would only thinking for myself, that would not really matter to me, but remembering all the sacrifices that my parents have done for me just to support me in studying away from home, IT KILLS ME. I hardly swallow food. I always forget to eat and do normal stuff at my age.
Yesterday, I was like , " Bla bla, I will not worry no more"... But at this point, before going to sleep, my brain keeps on recalling everything that I should be worried on.
I ended up crying and silently screaming in my room. I had no one to talk to. I was just talking to my self, arguing about how to save my life and what can I do to make my parents be proud of me.
The easiest way that I could think of, is to die... simple suicide.
...
...
But I can feel the fear, inside of me. The fear of feeling hell instead.
What can I do to make my heart feel better? I want to have some rest, not only physically, I meant mentally.
They say , depression kills, oh! yes it does! BECAUSE IT HAD RIPPED MY HEART FOR A VERY LONG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will my eyes until it will bleed. There was too much sacrifice for this. . .
My health is at risk.
My pride is at risk.
I just can't calm myself.
For all the pain I got in my whole life, I have always question God about it. There were so many times that I betrayed Him, denied Him, judged Him, even doubted Him. And from the bottom of heart, I am truly sorry for crashing my faith.I am now in the middle of something that I could not describe. I am sorry for failing Him. He had shown me everything that He can possibly if only I asked for it...
But there are times when I can't seem to understand some complicated events and consequences.
I was a bit relieved writing all the pain I had. Even though it didn't solve anything.
CASE 2 - Blog Critic
According to my vast research in the internet, A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.
Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules.
In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
Since Blogger was launched in 1999, blogs have reshaped the web, impacted politics, shaken up journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and connect with others.
And we're pretty sure the whole deal is just getting started.
Source: What is Blog?
That was the basic definition for the word BLOG!
We have this assignment in our subject in Information System Planning(IT Elective 4). It is about writing a critical view of someone else’s’ blog. We have to select a partner in which we could exchange ideas on how we think about our blogs.
I have chosen to not to show the link of my classmate's blog.
1. A detailed review of your partner's blog
As I observed his blog, I have noticed that he barely visits it. The last post was on October 2009. Maybe because he is enjoying his sense of speech , i mean maybe he is having more fun in facebook nowadays.
2. Complete analysis of your partner's blog usability, branding, design, content
and search engine optimization
USABILITY - The last post he has made was two years ago. For me, he does not spend his time more in blogging the things that he likes.
DESIGN - The design is kinds girlie and does not fit to his attitude personally.
CONTENT - Most of the contents are answers from a subject's assignment. I have not seen any personal thoughts about his blog, what I mean is about the other topics aside from the assignments in his subjects.
SEO - I have not seen any effort for the SEO. I do SEO for my job right now so I know some things that should be considered when you are doing SEO. WIth this blog, we can see that there is no intention of optimizing the blog.
3. Clearly suggested next steps to improve your partner's blog.
I am not obliging my partner to improve of make any changes for his blog because I know it is not part of his interest.
Vanquish X Review - I wanna kill you.
My boss has been using this vanquish x system for about two weeks already. It was better than DNDW that we used before BUT MAAAAAN!!! it is only good for mozilla browser for some reasons. And my f*cking browser is always crashing. Normally, it would take 30 minutes to build a complete site with on page SEO, but with the slow internet I have, it takes me 5 hours to complete one. I have to refresh it every five minutes.
It got me pissed off all the time. I wanna kill this system. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
F*CK!
Opps! My Bad!
.I will be adding it up soon :)
My past few blog posts looked so pathetic right? It talks about how to earn money through clicking links and images. I found the link in a social networking site. I tried clicking the link because I had nothing to do that day and since I am 24/7 online. I was bored so I signed up and continue to follow the set of instructions being given.
This is the link that I had : http://gainmoneyfast.com/-63064.htm
After signing up you were directed into a page in which you will follow some steps. After following it for almost a week, I got tired. Haha

Many of my friends told me that this business is just a scam because they have tried it and they gained nothing. I was not surprised since I really know that no one could earn a lot of money without taking some risks and time. But!! I was browsing on the ACCOUNT page particularly in the Payment Details and found out something!
According to my COMMON SENSE, the minimum payout for the site is $200! That means you have to gain $200 before getting the money from the site!
Damn!
You have to gain thousands of clicks just to gain. There are also sites that offers 500,000+ visitors to your site but but but they will charge you in your way to signing up. Haha! Now that's scam.
Currently I have $4.60 in my account. As a proof I have click this:

I am not saying it is true nor fake.
I had nothing left more to say. Bye! :D
For Most People It Is Not An Easy Task To Earn A Steady Income From Home
For most people it is not an easy task to earn a steady income from home. It involves commitment, perseverance, and hard work. There are so many homewokers who concentrate on earning money from just one source of income. But who’s to say you can’t earn more? If you’re in it for the long haul, you would like to make as much money as possible, correct?
Well, of course you would!
Below are two tips to earning an income from various sources :
1. Blogging For Pay
Blogging for pay is getting more popular among bloggers. Many bloggers simply do not have the time and they are willing to consider outsourcing (paying someone to write on their blog). If you enjoy writing and blogging...give this some thought. It could be something you would enjoy and also get paid for.
2. Write Articles For Pay
If you like to write...and especially if you’re already involved in article marketing, why not get paid for writing them? There are a few sites that will pay you for the articles you write.
Here are two of them...
best regards.
Every One Of The Money-making Programs I Recommend Is FREE To Join
Every one of the money-making programs I recommend is FREE to join, and I will NEVER ask you for money. The only thing you may want to purchase (not from me) is web hosting, so that you have complete control over the advertising on your web pages. (but this is not necessary) How do you make money on the internet? You represent different companies, and websites and promote their products, programs and/or services from your web site, or e-mail. This will make you an ’affiliate’. You choose what type of cash generating promotion(s) you want to use by copying and pasting short snippets of HTML code to your website pages or email. Many affiliate programs allow you to ’give away’ products and services, and YOU STILL MAKE MONEY. As an aside, those who do run into those short-term cashflow difficulties are now able to approach lenders like wonga in order to secure a payday loan to keep the business afloat - not a problem since that paycheck is never far off anyhow if you take my advice. Other affiliate programs give you a percentage of sales of products (from their inventory, you earn just by referring!), while some cash generating programs pay you just to send them visitor traffic to their website! (EASY, EASY, EASY!)Promote to over 10 million individuals around the globe

Every Day More And More People Are Looking To Learn How To Make Money Fast
Every day more and more people are looking to learn how to make money fast. Both in the online and offline worlds people are starting realize that having a “job” and working 40 hours a week for 40 years is not the ideal way to live. Some people have dreamed about owning their own business and have not followed through because of the investment in resources,’ says Jim Griffith, head of eBay University, for those aiming to set up shop selling goods at the online auctioneer’s site. ’The Internet allows people to at least try without making a large initial investment.’
Army veteran Brandi Ramos of Springfield, Ill., did it. As a single mom in need of extra income, she started her online retail career peddling ’big and tall’ men’s clothing on eBay.
Three years later, Ramos, 32, makes a good living working online out of her 600-square-foot basement packed with hanging displays and baker’s racks piled with tupperware containing underwear and belts. Ramos aims to offer quick service, answering all e-mails within four to six hours. She claims to net $25,000 on $100,000 sales a year, and even earns a few bucks per order on shipping.
If managing inventory seems too big a chore, play virtual landlord and charge other retailers monthly fees (or per-transaction fees) for the opportunity to market their products on your site. Amazon.com (nasdaq: AMZN - news - people ) nabbed 28% of its revenues this way in 2006.
Craigslist is another take on this model: The 25-person company, worth a reported $2 billion, charges businesses to post help wanted ads in San Francisco, New York and L.A.; it also collects fees for apartment listings in New York City. Total page views per month: about 5 billion.
Then there’s every pajama-clad blogger’s dream: producing content supported by advertising dollars. Selling advertising is how thousands of established online media outlets pay their electric bills. They charge advertisers two ways: by the number of overall Web pages (called ’impressions’) served up, and by the number of people who click on the ads.
Setting up a blog requires not much more than a basic publishing program, a server and software to track ad clicks. The hard part, though, is attracting enough eyeballs to make it worth someone’s while to pay to advertise on your site.
To have any prayer of attracting large advertisers, sites need to attract at least 500,000 unique visitors per month, says David Hauslaib, publisher of Jossip.com, a media and gossip blog that counts Coca Cola (nyse: KO - news - people ) and Sketchers among its advertisers. Sadly, even if you do generate enough traffic, the ’click-through’ rates on ads tend to be quite low--in the neighborhood of one half of 1%.

Webcam Software
Magnificent MPEG4 Stream Package
New professional protection software works with any camera, Internet cameras, and major capture cards. Security application has become so complicated that the regular consumer who has been busy minding his office instead of pouring over electronics and ip know-how articles can be easily overwhelmed when it comes time to install or modernize his security system. The way that it works is to study the image sent by a camera that is either connected via USB or via a video capture device for movement. When it picks up that motion, it can afterward take any number of events, including triggering an siren.
Streaming live video and sound from capture card via camera server software. If you find yourself with a need to capture surveillance video with a webcamera over an area, webcamera computer software may be the right choice for you. Using this software, it is possible to set up a camera to detect motion and begin recording once it performs. Depending on your needs, the video and audio that are captured by the camera may be saved on a hard drive, or if the captured video needs to be available online, can be webcast through the server`s streaming feature to a webpage. Depending on the quality of the camera and the user`s video device, the video that is captured may be as clear as a HD television signal. Using a install like this, it is possible to offer a measure of protection for zone while the economics of the situation do not justify hiring a security business or setting up a professional security application. This easy solution can save cash while not compromising on security.

TECHNOPRENEURSHIP 2 (AssignMENt 5)
This topic was discussed right after the discussion of the trends and opportunities in convergence. The death of consumer does not literally pertain to the fatality of humankind. For me, it’s the total shrinking of the number of consumer in world of business due to some changes of trends and opportunities. So what is the role of consumer in the society? We all know that consumers are the driving force of the economy. When they spend, businesses reap the profit and consumers get a quality product or service that will in some way enhance their lives. Consumers play an important role in society from the methods they use to research and review products to their decisions on which brands to use and where to make purchases. As an initiator, consumers determine the products and services they need, whether they are shopping for themselves, friends, family members or business clients. The media help to persuade, inform and remind them about products and services that are available for consumption. Once a consumer becomes interested in a product or service, regardless of the brand name associated with it, he begins to gather information to determine if making the purchase is a reasonable, wise-buying decision. As an influence, consumers undoubtedly look to family, friends and colleagues for opinions when they're making a purchase. A referral for a business or a personal experience with a product holds more weight with a consumer than a well-orchestra print advertisement or commercial. In fact, Business Wire reports that women often look to blogs and social networks to research products before they make a decision to buy. Companies offer customers an opportunity to review their services and products online, and consumers use this information to gauge quality, service, features, benefits and pricing. As a decider, children, for example, may initiate the idea of a purchase by mentioning a new cereal to a parent. The parent decides whether or not to make the purchase after researching the cereal to determine its price, its availability and how healthy it is. Consumers who assume the role of a decider have the financial authority to decide whether a good or service can be purchased. As a buyer, consumers purchase products and services with their money, a spouse's money, or by using a company credit card. Whether they visit a store in person, make a purchase online or place an order over the phone, the buyer gives a payment and receives a good or service in exchange. As a user, Consumers typically use the products they buy, unless they make the purchase for a family member, friend or colleague. Regardless of who makes the purchase, the user is the person who ultimately consumes the good or service that's purchased by the buyer.
So how does this consumer’s demand evolved?
Innovation of products and the transformation of consumer preferences is a thing that is directly related to the concavity of demand function and its dynamics. While innovation is the primary cause of qualitative change, innovation without the transformation of consumer preferences can push the system back toward a quasi stable condition. In real life, innovation and consumer preferences transformation occur simultaneously. Some experiments show that this will bring the economic system move away from a stable condition evolutionarily.
The report, “Demystifying Slot Machines and Their Impact in the United States,” investigates how slot machines are developed, operated and regulated, as well as how they affect both gaming patrons and communities.
An extensive collection of gaming experts also provided input for the report, including Anthony Baerlocher, senior staff game designer at International Game Technology; Travis Foley, technology chief at the Nevada Gaming Control Board; Phil Gelber, vice president of game development at WMS Gaming, Inc.; Bill LaPenta, director of financial analysis at Spectrum Gaming Group; Anthony Lucas, Ph.D., associate professor of casino management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; Allison McCoy, senior vice president of marketing at Spectrum Gaming Group; Derris Newman, vice president of research at The Innovation Group; Marcus Prater, executive director of the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers; Christine Reilly, executive director of the Institute for Research on Gambling Disorders; and Eric Weiss, lab administrator in the technical services bureau of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission.
What is a prosumer?
The concept of a prosumer is a late 20th century idea that combines some of the common characteristics of a professional and a consumer. The term is generally applied to situations where consumers are considered to have reached a level of sophistication that the professional-consumer can effectively dictate the perimeters for the production of goods and services in terms of quality and structure. The difference between the garden variety consumer and the prosumer is that the latter typically possesses such a strong working knowledge with the product that he or she can successfully determine and perhaps even design a better product offering.Prosumers are now common in many fields that were once the sole province of professionals. One of the areas where the prosumer has gained a high degree of visibility is in the home improvement industry. A number of household tasks, such as the installation of ductwork, plumbing, wallpaper hanging, and installing major appliances, are now done by many homeowners. In times past, these were all functions that were considered to be the work of professionals, with only the occasional amateur attempting this sort of high profile work. Cooking is another area where amateurs have become more proficient. As a result, prosumers now bridge the gap between people who prepare simple meals for the household and persons who are trained as professional chefs. One of the avenues that allow amateurs to expand the level of culinary education is cable television. Since the medium became widely available in the late 1970’s, many people have become exposed to the preparation of cuisine that was usually available only in upscale restaurants. The result has been the creation of a large audience of prosumer enthusiasts that delight in expanding their culinary skills, without necessarily planning on making a living in the industry. The combination of affordable computer technology and the Internet have also made it possible for the prosumer to assume a place in the world of publishing. Thanks to software programs and high quality printing materials and equipment, the prosumer can now produce hard copy and electronic magazines on a favorite hobby or interest. Desktop publishing also allows these highly skilled amateurs to produce high quality greeting cards, promotional brochures, and a wide range of published material. Even fledgling writers can be classified as prosumers, simply by using current technology to product an electronic book for distribution. The prosumer can also be associated with a number of other fields as well. Photography, interior decorating, and even the beverage industry have a number of people who qualify as prosumers. As technology continues to evolve, there is no doubt that the prosumer phenomenon will continue to grow.
In the late nineteenth century, theoretical explanations of consumer demand were derived from the neoclassical microeconomic analysis developed by Alfred Marshall in his Principles of Economics [1890]. Neoclassical theory, however, was of limited use to market analysts because it took no account of the importance of interpersonal effects on consumer choice and could not offer an explanation of the increasingly strong influence of social factors, in particular the desire for status, on purchase decisions.Effectively ignored status-driven consumption in the first edition of Principles. He acknowledged "the unwholesome desire for wealth as a means of display" that was increasingly in evidence (particularly in the United States during the Gilded Age), and he condemned such expenditures, believing that they were rooted in personal vanity and created envy in others. However, there was no serious discussion of the economics of demand for status goods and, although recognizing the complexity of any consumption that was driven by social, rather than by utilitarian, considerations, the "special case" of interpersonal preference formation did not form part of Marshall's analysis. This reluctance to discuss interpersonal effects on demand was intentional, for it would have called into question a fundamental assumption of neoclassical theory--that aggregate demand could be derived from the simple compounding of individual demand schedules and that no part of an individual's demand for any product was determined by the consumption of others.
Consumer Contracts
If we decide to account for consumer expectations regarding the schemas we expose when evolving our service - and consider it worth our provider knowing about them - then we need to import those consumer expectations into the provider. The Schematron assertions in our example look very much like the kinds of tests that, if implemented by the provider, might help ensure the provider continues to meet its commitments to its clients. By implementing these tests, the provider gains a better understanding of how it can evolve the structure of the messages it produces without breaking existing functionality in the service community. And where a proposed change would in fact break one or more consumers, the provider will have immediate insight into the issue and be better able to address it with the parties concerned, accommodating their requirements or providing incentives for them to change as business factors dictate. In our example, we can say that the set of assertions generated by all consumers expresses the mandatory structure of the messages to be exchanged during the period in which the assertions remain valid for their parent applications. If the provider were possessed of this set of assertions, it would be able to ensure that every message it sends is valid for every consumer insofar as the set of assertions is valid and complete.Generalizing this structure, we can distinguish what we have already called the provider contract from the individual contractual obligations that obtain in instances of provider-consumer relationships, which we will now call consumer contracts. When a provider accepts and adopts the reasonable expectations expressed by a consumer, it enters into a consumer contract.Consumer contracts have the following characteristics:
Open and incomplete Consumer contracts are open and incomplete with respect to the business functionality available to the system. They express a subset of the system's business function capabilities in terms of the consumer's expectations of the provider contract.Multiple and non-authoritative Consumer contracts are multiple in proportion to the number of consumers of a service, and each is non-authoritative with regard to the total set of contractual obligations placed on the provider. The non-authoritative nature of the relationship extending from consumer to provider is one of the key features that distinguish a service-oriented architecture from a distributed application architecture. Service consumers must recognize that their peers in a service community are liable to consume the provider in ways quite different from their own. Peers may evolve at different rates and demand changes of the provider that potentially disturb the dependencies and expectations residing in other parts of the system. A consumer cannot anticipate how or when a peer will disturb the provider contract; a client in a distributed application has no such concerns.Bounded stability and immutability Like provider contracts, consumer contracts are valid for a particular period of time and/or location.Consumer contracts allow us to reflect on the business value being exploited at any point in a provider's lifetime. By expressing and asserting expectations of a provider contract, consumer contracts effectively define which parts of that provider contract currently support the business value realized by the system, and which do not. This leads us to suggest that service communities might benefit from being specified in the first instance in terms of consumer contracts. In this view, provider contracts emerge to meet consumer expectations and demands. To reflect the derived nature of this new contractual arrangement, we call such provider contracts consumer-driven contracts or derived contracts. The derivative nature of consumer-driven provider contracts adds a heteronomous aspect to the relationship between service provider and consumer. That is, providers are subject to an obligation that originates from outside their boundaries. This in no way impacts on the fundamentally autonomous nature of their implementations; it simply makes explicit the fact that services depend for success on their being consumed.
Consumer-driven contracts have the following characteristics:
Closed and complete A consumer-driven contract is closed and complete with respect to the entire set of functionality demanded of it by its existing consumers. The contract represents the mandatory set of exportable elements required to support consumer expectations during the period in which those expectations remain valid for their parent applications.Singular and non-authoritative Provider contracts are singular in their expression of the business functionality available to the system, but non-authoritative because derived from the union of existing consumer expectations.Bounded stability and immutability A consumer-driven contract is stable and immutable in respect of a particular set of consumer contracts. That is to say, we can determine the validity of a consumer-driven contract according to a specified set of consumer contracts, effectively bounding the forwards- and backwards-compatible nature of the contract in time and space. The compatibility of a contract remains stable and immutable for a particular set of consumer contracts and expectations, but is subject to change as expectations come and go.

TECHNOPRENEURSHIP 2 (AssignMENt 4)
This topic was discussed last Monday, November 29, 2010. There are about more than 30 slides presented during those hours. In my own understanding, the word convergence alone is about coming up together with something. When we talk about convergence in an Information Technology world, convergence is indeed occurring commonly every minute of the day. Examples of such changes are surfing the Web using a television and taking videos with a cell phone. These are the common examples that could be noticed frequently. As I searched the internet, there are many complicated definitions for convergence. One of those definitions is:
it is understood to mean the ability of different networks to carry similar kinds of services (e.g., voice over Internet Protocol or over circuit switched networks, video over cable television or Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line or, alternatively, the ability to provide a range of services over a single network, such as the so-called “triple play.” Box 4-1 summarizes some of the issues that regulators should consider with regard to convergence. Convergence is accelerating as existing networks are modified to offer new services (e.g., upgrade of telephone networks to offer ADSL, alteration of electric power networks to offer broadband services, and the modification of cable networks to offer interactive services). Convergence is also possible with wireless broadband technologies. As a result, different network infrastructures can today provide a plethora of services. Cable television providers can offer consumers voice, Internet access, and broadcast services over the same network as one bundled package of services, and for one monthly price. Likewise, a mobile service provider may be able to offer a subscriber data and video services, as well as voice services, and digital television (DTV) providers are offering interactive services.

Change is hard. It really is. We see change as something undesirable and nobody loves it. Change means that we are getting out of our comfort zone and stepping into a gray area filled with uncertainty. Why be uncertain when you can be certain? Why change when you can choose not to?Change is powerful. Uncertainty is the first step towards discovery and breakthrough. Changing means discovering something new, moving forward and growing. If you think changing is hard, not changing is harder.Failure to change means staying stagnant. Being stagnant only leads to mediocrity. The world changes quickly. Those who are able to change will move ahead. Those who failed will lag behind. Change is definitely happening around you. Nothing is permanent.
I watched a video about the better and improved understanding of how technology is converging to create innovative and exciting opportunities for everyone especially in the field of technopreneurship. It is shocking how fast the pace of change is moving. According to the adlibs of our facilitator, there has been an evolution of time that still continues to influence on how people live and survive in this changing world. A continuous flow of latest technologies and social media improvement is altering the world of change. Convergence is everywhere. As you can see even in our daily routines we tend to adopt more and more on the changes that is happening everyday. These changes are affecting the way people behave. As I observed, people get lazier because of all the automated stuff made. Haha! But that was just one of the disadvantages with this convergence in my opinion compared to those immeasurable advantages occurred. According to our facilitator it has been an AGRICULTURAL PERIOD to INFORMATION PERIOD, where in before the power is in the hands of those people who have more land properties as compared nowadays that the power depends on who has the latest information. And now, power will be equal to information.

Convergence may influence consumers to accept new technologies. According to some studies, people who aren't computer literate are more likely to embrace the Internet, video-on-demand, and so on if they can -- at least initially -- access these technologies through their televisions. In general, TV is familiar and non-threatening. Displays are large and TVs are easy to operate, requiring almost no training. Personal computers, in spite of their graphical user interfaces ( GUI ) tend to be more text-oriented, highly interactive, oriented in terms of purpose and content toward business and education uses. Displays are smaller. Computers can be very challenging to use and usually require formal education or a certain personal learning curve.
Computer-television convergence is already underway with WebTV , which pipes the World Wide Web to a slightly-modified TV set with a set-top box from an ordinary phone line and provides a degree of interactivity. A number of interactive games designed for the TV environment can also be played over the Internet. Broadcasting companies such as NBC have partnered with computer companies such as Microsoft for TV program content.

[size=24]SHIFT HAPPENS
Some examples would be in the basis from statistics to understand the change.
The comparisons of books from eBooks: well over 1,000,000 books are published worldwide every year in contrast with a google book search can digitize 1000 pages every hour. Americans have access to 1,000,000,000,000 web pages, 65,000 iPhone apps, 10,500 radio stations, 5,500 magazines, 200 + cable TV networks. There are 240,000,000 TVs in the US and 2,000,000 are in bathrooms.
The comparison of printing distribution from online readers: Newspaper circulation is down 7 million over the last 25 years. But in the last 5 years, unique readers of online newspapers are up to 30 million.
The comparison between traditional advertising from digital advertising:

In this image this year, traditional advertising is in sudden turn down. Meanwhile, digital advertising is growing in haste.
The comparison of social networking sites from an television advertisements:More video was uploaded to YOUTUBE in the last 2 months than if any tv ads company had been airing new content in 24 hours, seven days in three hundred sixty five days ever since. The number of unique visitors in ABC and ANC is 10 million in every month. These businesses have been around for a combined 200 years.Networking and sharing sites have a 250million unique visitors. None of these sites existed 6 years ago.Dell claims to have earned $3million via Twitter posts since 2007.
In election:In Febuary 2008, John McCain raised $11million for his U.s. presidential bid. That same month, Barack Obama attended no campaign fundsraisers.Instead, Obame leveraged online social networks to raise $35million in those 29 days.Twitter played an unprecedented role in sharing information during 2009 Iranian presidential elections. All mentions of the disputed election were bumped from those twitter's trending topics list when news of Michael Jackson's death broke. Jackson, swine flu and Barack Obama have been this year's top subjects for malware-distributing emails.90% of the 200 billion emails sent everyday are spam.
Your cellular phones:The computer in your cell phone today is a million time cheaper ad a thousand times more powerful and about a hundred thousand times smaller. So what used to fit in a building now fits in your pocket, what fits in your pocket now will fit inside a blood cell in 25 years.
I got all the examples above from a video clip in youtube with this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ILQrUrEWe8
WAVES OF OUR SOCIETY
During our discussions, our facilitator mentioned about these different waves, or the evolution of society in dependence of the trends and opportunities on convergence. I have read the summary of the book Future Shock by Alvin Toffler in 1970. It made mention about the uprising shift of our civilization’s behavior from an industrial society up unto a super-industrial society that has been considered as a big and fast structural change of our society. It shares about how people would react with the accelerated change of technological and social alteration leaving those disoriented people in stress and shock. Toffler stated that the majority of social problems were symptoms of the future shock. In his discussion of the components of such shock, he also popularized the term information overload. In the book Toffler describes three types of societies, based on the concept of 'waves' - each wave pushes the older societies and cultures aside. The First Wave is the settled agricultural society which prevailed in much of the world after the Neolithic Revolution, which replaced hunter-gatherer cultures. The Second Wave is Industrial Age society. The Second Wave began in Western Europe with the Industrial Revolution, and subsequently spread across the world. Key aspects of Second Wave society are the nuclear family, a factory-type education system and the corporation. Toffler writes:
"The Second Wave Society is industrial and based on mass production, mass distribution, mass consumption, mass education, mass media, mass recreation, mass entertainment, and weapons of mass destruction. You combine those things with standardization, centralization, concentration, and synchronization, and you wind up with a style of organization we call bureaucracy."The Third Wave is the post-industrial society. Toffler says that since the late 1950s most countries have been transitioning from a Second Wave society into a Third Wave society. He coined many words to describe it and mentions names invented by others, such as the Information Age.

Make meaning, that’s the phrase he stressed so many times in his video clip.
This phrase simply answers the question “How do we get things started?”. Just like what we always do in our daily lives and in every worker’s situation. Doctors continue to stay in hospitals to help sick and ill people; construction workers do all those tedious works for strong founded architectures; event handlers occupy their whole time in thinking and assembling an effective and successful way to hold different kinds of events for the people to enjoy; painters paint to convey and express what they feel about different things in life. Those people I mentioned are those groups of people who make substantial meaning unto what they do in their every day existence. For us students, we pour out our skills and knowledge for us to have a successful and better future in the field we have chosen. Meaning is not just a matter of words. Our values, prejudices, beliefs, sciences, philosophies, religions, and artistic activities are based on meanings. We live our lives in terms of the personal meanings things have for us. The kinds of societies we create and support develop from the interpretations and meanings we give to our experiences, especially to what we hear and read. Meaning to a great extent, consciously or unconsciously, directs our lives. Since we are capable, to some degree, of recognizing, reviewing, and modifying our interpretations, we can also direct our meanings to some extent. To be able to identify what something means to us, how and why, allows us to make choices for our future experiences.
In business world, making meaning has been one of the main foundations of any business minded people to have a better and a continuous flow of their industry. It’s undeniable that most of the company’s main intention in their business is to gain profit or simply make money out of their work. They have this mind set because nowadays money almost drive every living and non-living thing in this world. Money has been the solution for our primary needs, our food, shelter and clothing and also for our unnecessary things in life. So, no one could ever blame anyone if he or she will set her purpose of gaining money in making things functional or making things possible. But, as mentioned by Guy Kawasaki one should be making things for the intention of making an evocative meaning.
Guy Kawasaki believes that those companies who set out to make a positive change in the world are the companies that will ultimately be the most successful. He gives examples of the best way to make meaning: increase quality of life, right a wrong, and prevent the end of something good.
Increasing the quality of life:
Once you have motivated yourself for making an evocative meaning for every thing that you do in life, you are preparing yourself in a developing the betterment of life. For example, business minded people made things easier for the consumers to have a trouble-free community. They believe that their idea will continue to flow smoothly with the thought of helping consumers obtain a higher step unto a improved way of living in life.
Right a Wrong:
This phrase is simple if you have the will to correct the wrong things that you do. People sometimes do not admit the failures or should i say do not agree unto somethings that are not complementary with their belief. It is the pride that they are keeping and treasuring for a long time. Sometimes people have to be aware that correcting a wrong may help everyone in achieving the things that they desire. It's better to tell the truth than to memorize a lie.
Prevent the end of something good:
Hmmmm, it is how you would actually help yourself to continue the things that are giving you good and productive results. This prevention comes with development and protection. You also have to believe in yourself that you can do such things and good things will come soon. All good things must continue, for it also increases the quality and betterment of our daily existence.
TECHNOPRENEURSHIP 2 (AssignMENt 2)
“Huh?”… That’s the first word that I thought inside my mind after reading this second assignment in Technopreneurship II. I was confused because we already had this assignment last semester in our Technopreneurship I. I keep on asking my classmates about this assignment, but they often reply “Nah, ambot, unsaon diay?” Haha!!! . Up until now, I haven’t figured out what would be my technopreneur idea. Weeks have passed, days have gone by. I already did a lot of serendipity walks; I imagined myself to be like Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates and ended to stupidity walks. Haha. Why? Because every time I try to focus on what would be my business idea, my personal problems tend to interfere. Every time I try to walk around Obrero, searching for things to unfold, constantly my mind sinks in to my emotional being. I just thought of having a device that can erase a specific memory inside our brain to make all things easier. Moving on from those deadly hours of my life, It’s even worse than hell (I haven’t gone into hell ever since, but that over exaggerating declaration I stated was from documentary films about hell.) But I guess that was not a good technopreneur idea at all. I realized that those problems occur because we did some things that are undeniably wrong and for us to learn from our mistakes. Maybe I was out of topic but since the instruction says to state my experiences during those days of discovery, I guess it doesn’t affect my answer. Luckily, by God’s grace and mercy, that problem I have experienced had been slowly taken over by my strength now. At present, I can normally think and focus unto my projects.
I could say that my technopreneur idea is not original, since the instruction states that “… and discover technopreneur idea”.
” Technology travels with people. You can't just throw it over the wall and, because it's such a good idea, expect another engineering group to simply pick it up and run with it.” Chuck Geschke (1939) a U.S. business executive and computer scientist.
It’s just that most of the business ideas nowadays are recycled ones. Most of the technopreneurs imitate it and just add more productive features, more enjoyable results and more helpful to those target market of a particular business. For me the two most famous and effective technopreneurhip idea is online merchandising and social networking sites. I have tried before the online selling of dolls (my previous REJECTED business plan last semester).
Actually, I already have this business before when I was still in Tagum. It’s not really my purpose to sell my hand made voodoo dolls. I created those dolls out of my obsession with a SKULL figure. It is weird huh? My first creative art for a voodoo doll is quite simple, just a naked body of a doll, colored black having red eyes. My mom often scolds me for making those dolls before because she thinks it is just a waste of time and effort. Later on, my best friends would praise or appreciate my art and they would actually advice me to have a business for that art. I was still in highschool at that time, when I would make 5 dolls a day and give it away to my friends because they always ask for those voodoo dolls, and as a good friend, I did gave them my voodoo dolls. When I got into college, my time for sewing for voodoo dolls has become more productive. One day, after a fight with my mom, she decreased my allowance about a half and that was truly miserable. I only had an allowance just fit for my everyday fare. Out of my disobedience, I stared unto my dolls and even ask them, where can I have extra money, I even shouted “MUULAN UNTAG KWARTA!”. After that unlucky day of mine, I brought all my voodoo dolls in the school (not really all), and I was happy watching my friends holding and playing my voodoo doll like kids with genuine appreciation. They would always say “KA WEIRD ANI OIE, PERO CUTE”.
Again, some of my classmates encouraged me to sell some of it. And because I badly need extra money, I agreed into it and started to have a mini business. I could earn Php50 a day for one voodoo doll. For me, that was a good start because I never had a start up money because my mom is a dressmaker so she had a lots of “retaso” in which I used for sewing my dolls. Back then I was really addicted in facebook, I saw a fan page about selling beauty products. And a thought came into my mind, maybe I could also display my dolls through the internet hoping for a possibility of increased sales. So I did it. Like what I expected, I took orders every week. The most successive week for me was when I earned Php500. I was an irregular student that time, and I only had 2 days of class, so I have a lot time for making and thinking for other designs for increased productivity. I was so satisfied by the facts that I really got a lot of orders through facebook. Thank you , thank you facebook for letting me exercise my business skills.Haha!
Another good technopreneurhip idea was these social networking site. Nearly everyone, has been depending a lot in the internet to gain new friends, explore some computer activities, arrange dates, communication between friends, present and former classmates or co employees. Everyone is addicted unto this kind of things because most of us love to brag about the actions that we do everyday and every minute of our life.
So let’s talk about my plan J . Currently I am eating a lot of macaroni salad just to feed my brain with enough glucose. The name of my business idea is LIBDECT which stands for LIBRARY DETECTOR. Actually this is one of my previous schemes in Technopreneurship I that was not yet proposed because our team successfully convinced our facilitator also with one of the business proposals that we prepared earlier. So, this plan is all about different kinds of books.
“Book, a volume of many sheets of paper bound together, containing text, illustrations, music, photographs, or other kinds of information. The pages are sewn or glued together on one side and bound between hard or soft paper covers. Because they are relatively durable and portable, books have been used for centuries to preserve and distribute information.
A book is small enough to be carried around, but it is larger than a pamphlet, which generally consists of just a few pieces of paper. Books may form part of a series, but they differ from periodicals and newspapers because they are not published on a strict daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Unlike a private diary, which may be in book form, a book is intended for public circulation.
The term book is applied by extension to the scrolls used in the ancient world, even though they do not fit the modern definition of a book. In an editorial sense the word book can also refer to some ancient literary works, such as the Egyptian Book of the Dead, or to major divisions of a literary work, such as the books of the Bible. ”

WHAT WOULD BE THE BENEFIT OF MY BUSINESS PLAN?
1. To raise the quality of libraries
Undeniably, most of the students in all schools and university prefer to conduct their research in the internet, because of some issues inside the library.
2. To locate missing books(misplaced)
One of the issues inside the library is that the books are limited for some copies only. For example, our teacher in Philosophy when I was still a second year student required all the sections under her class to have a reporting following the arrangements of topics in a book she introduced to us. Imagine, more or less 200 students with the proportion of 6 copies of books(as what I have remembered). Most of us tend to hide all the books inside the library, even under plant pots or under bookshelves just to ensure that when we come back to the library, that book will be ours. Haha! So, how about the other students? Pity to those librarians who keep on wondering where the hell that book is. That’s the truth that cannot be denied in all public school libraries because of some short budget intended to libraries.
3. To identify the damages made
When books are borrowed, the librarian or any person in charged with book inspection cannot easily detect the damages made inside the book. Those damages are as follows, page strips, torn pages and the most difficult is the writings done in pages of the book.
4. To know how the user will take care of the book borrowed
With the awareness that if that book is damaged or not. Borrowers will really take good care of the books or else they will the pay the price for their carelessness.
5. To recognize if the book is stolen
The books that are easily stolen are those books that have smaller sizes. One may have big pockets in their pants to fit the book and then go out like nothing really happened at all. And blah! That book is stolen without any alarm. So this plan gives an alarm in every book that was not yet registered as OB or officially borrowed.
THE FUNCTION OF MY BUSINESS PLAN SYSTEM:
In every registered book in the library, there will be a locator gadget attached in a secured part of the book that will be invulnerable from users handling and sealed with secured cover. In the main system locator there will be camera views from different cameras installed inside the library.
In daily basis, the librarian would check if the books are organized in the main operating locator system.
ü
PINK – not damaged / ok
ü Yellow – folded in a worst way
ü Blue – missing pages / torn pages
ü Red – the book is not there
If the books are in red it will be compared to the books borrowed that day.
THE TARGET FOR THIS BUSINESS PLAN ARE School libraries
- Government offices’ libraries
- Private institutions’ libraries
- City libraries
TECHNOPRENEURSHIP 2 (AssignMENt 1)
Technopreneurship is a type of business that uses the advantage and advancement of technology. For sure we all know that Technopreneurship gains more advantage over other typical kind of entrepreneurship. Before, the semester I wasn’t able to study in advance our subject IT Elective 1 Technopreneurship 1. All I know is it’s in the field of business with the use of technology. The first lesson we tackled about is hot to connect the dots and end up with the realization that we shouldn’t or we must not just limit ourselves inside the box. We should think and initialize beyond it to be productive in some other ways. Our facilitator showed us the four phases on how we could make ourselves a better technopreneur. These are the SEED or Self Mastery, Environment Mastery, Enterprise Mastery and Development Mastery. Each phase was described briefly by our facilitator. The first phase which is the Self Mastery was the topic we discussed for the whole semester. This phase covers PT Personal Trait Quiz, EQ Emotional Quotient, AQ Adversity Quotient and IQ Intellectual Quotient. We took all those tests for us to help ourselves in determining if we are suit to be a technopreneur someday. I got an average score in all test, as what I had remembered. We also watched “The Pirates of the Silicon Valley”. That was the first time I watched that film acting the crisscross lives of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Before, all I knew about Bill Gates was, he is the richest man in the world. I never really thought that he was once a thief. Their story was just like a wheel, a chain reaction. Steve Jobs stole the idea of having a mouse from Xerox Company and so with Bill Gates unto Steve Jobs. It’s funny how they both got in that situation. One of the phrases they had in common is “Good artists copy, Great artists steal”. Nowadays, most of us don’t call it stealing; its other name would be “developing”. But I am not against in it anyways. After watching the movie we end up questioning ourselves, who is better? Who’s greater? Bill Gates or Steve Jobs? Well, they are great, enthusiastic and hard working in their profession. We also had read and watched the Commencement Address of Steve Jobs in Harvard University during the its graduation program of students. Even if he didn’t able to graduate in college, he was still considered successful by the way he treated the problems in his life. According to him, he had these three parts of his life. The first is connecting the dots. As what I have understood, he simply wants to say that everything happens for a reason. You might be discouraged by the undesirable effects at first but you will be aware someday that it is all for the betterment of yourself. Just like in movies, you will not understand if you will not wait for the right time that everything will fall into its appropriate places. Second is his love, according to him you must find what you love because if you continue something that’s in line with your interests, there would be a big possibility that you will achieve happiness and contentment in life. If you love what you are doing, you will never be tired even if downfalls happen. The third is death, he was lucky because he was treated immediately and the fact that he was warned about his near death. It would be worst if he just died suddenly. For that moment in his life, he had so many things to think of. Death is really like a thief, no one knows when it will exactly happen. It’s saying that one should be living his/her life as if it will be its last. Before in high school, it’s never my dream and my not my plan to have a business, because as what I have observed in all areas of business, nothing’s permanent. It’s either you will be more successful or you will be stepped down by other big competitors in business. I don’t want to manage something that tends to be so unpredictable. But this subject thought me how to think differently. Never fear downfalls and rejections. Let them fear you!! J It’s a matter of acceptance and recovery after every blue days in your life. It’s seeing every denunciation an opportunity for other ideas to come.
